Boreal Leadership Council (BLC)

BLC is a multi-stakeholder collaboration that supports the Boreal Forest Conservation Framework, which calls for the establishment of a network of large interconnected protected areas covering about half of the Canada’s 1.4-billion-acre Boreal Forest and the use of leading-edge sustainable development practices in remaining areas. As the first financial institution to endorse the vision and as a member of the BLC, NEI Investments promotes the Boreal Forest Conservation Framework to Canadian companies and policy-makers.

Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG)

CCGG promotes good governance practices in Canadian public companies, the improvement of the regulatory environment to best align the interests of boards and management with those of their shareholders, and the efficiency and effectiveness of the Canadian capital markets. NEI Investments is one of 46 members that collectively manage over $2.5 trillion1 in assets under management.

CDP

Representing over 800 institutional investors and $95 trillion in assets under management, CDP pushes companies to improve disclosure on their response to the challenges of climate change. NEI Investments was one of the first signatories to the CDP.

Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

The GRI is the world’s most widely-used sustainability reporting framework. NEI Investments uses the GRI framework in its own CSR reporting and encourages companies in its funds to do the same. It also supports GRI as an Organizational Stakeholder.

Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR)

ICCR is a coalition of faith and values-driven organizations who view the management of their investments as a powerful catalyst for social change. Each year, ICCR members and staff engage hundreds of multinational corporations annually to promote more sustainable and just practices. Ethical Funds is an active member.

Representing more than 1,300 signatories and $45 trillion in assets under management, the UN-supported PRI aims to help global investors improve long-term returns by integrating ESG analysis into investment decision-making and ownership practices. NEI Investments is an active member of the PRI.
